Re: SuperTarget - Phoenix: A Review

Quick question for @SamSpade: Which SuperTarget did you visit? The closest SuperTarget to me is at ChrisTown Spectrum, but I rarely shop there. It isn't exactly "close" to me. I usually shop at Arcadia Crossing (44th and Thomas), Tempe Marketplace, or the Uptown Flexible Format store. Thanks other ...

Re: Kohl's closing 4 stores

The Lenexa, KS store was a large store next to a major mall Oak Park Mall. Kohl's has 3 other stores within close proximity to the closing store (Shawnee, Overland Park, and Olathe). I think this may be an area where Kohl's is over stored and simply isn't drawing traffic to/from the mall (as the oth...

Re: Albertsons/Safeway 2018 & 2019: Openings and Closings

Thornydale Safeway in Tucson is closing. I thought that store was slated for a relocation/replacement... This is a former Abco that never got a Lifestyle remodel. Low volume operation for a while... Wasn't Safeway going to build a replacement store across the street at one point? There's a Bashas' ...

Re: SuperTarget - Phoenix: A Review

To purchase beer, the clerk scanned the ID barcode on my state-issued ID. Target is probably collecting additional information from that beyond just an "over 21" stamp of approval. In the future I'll be sure to decline. Scanning the bar code serves two purposes. It ensures that the clerk did not ac...

Re: The Pick Up Area Trend

(although Walmart's general merchandise pickup works like Target's where one has to go into the store to pick up those items). I don't understand this at all. Also if you go to grocery.walmart.com it does not have all of the same items even in grocery categories as the regular Walmart.com has. Some...

Re: The Pick Up Area Trend

None of the Targets in my area have any pick-up areas (nor have they been remodeled). So any Target pick-ups I've done are at the customer service counter. Walmart and Fry's have designated pickup areas where employees carry items into the cars for their grocery pickup options (although Walmart's ge...

Re: Five Guys

When Five Guys opened here I would visit the ones in Renton and Bellevue on occasion. I thought there were better burgers elsewhere, but prices were semi-reasonable, and they do have good fries. Since then, their prices have gone way up, which puts them firmly into sit-down burger territory, and th...

Re: QFC tests digital shelf labeling in Redmond store

Seems like an awful large expense for next to no improvement in the customer experience.

Maybe it is helpful on the back end, but it seems like another swing and miss by Kroger management.

Re: The Final Days of Sears & Kmart, 2019

another band-aid solution to keep sears alive. it maybe buys only a few more months at most to keep sears alive. Absolutely. I don't see any way that the chain makes it to 2020 in any way close to its current form. I can see Sears.com and Kmart.com becoming online retailers under different ownershi...
