you will never get a true number of infections since uninsured people are very unlikely to get tested out of fears they can't afford to get a test. i would only get tested if someone at work or in my neighborhood tested positive, other than that it's a waste of time.

i think the future of restaurants might be replacing physical menus with downloading menu apps. disposable menus could get expensive and encouraging diners to look at an e-menu on an app would be a much better solution. outdoor dining is being floated as an idea to make up for the half capacity rest...

i'm actually gonna give plant based meat a try during the meat shortage. vegetarian and vegan alternatives will become really popular during this shortage.

costco is limiting customers to three packages of meat. save mart picked the worst possible time to have a 5 for $5 each sale on meat and their shelves were a little bare because of it today.

the save smart thin plastic bags are now being given out at the fresno save mart stores. save mart/foodmaxx are no longer allowing customers to bring in reusable bags until further notice.

the city of fresno just mandated masks for everyone in all stores and violators are subject to fines.

i expect the meatpacking employees to either not show up via sickout or a strike. the meat plants in fresno are starting to get more confirmed cases of covid and that will get the attention of gov. newsom pretty quickly. the unions are already exploring their options to counter trump's order.

the smart & final stores in fresno are using security guards to enforce the masks and are also stopping customers at the door if they try to bring in reusable bags. they are also planning on hiring a second guard to walk the store to enforce social distancing.

i wouldn't be surprised if petsmart changes the rules where pets with appointments would only be allowed in the store or even possibly require customers to remain in the car and have an employee check the pet in curbside.
