Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
It looks like they've reached a bankruptcy settlement. Hopefully they exit rapidly. We should hear confirmation of this today or tomorrow. Interesting that the news reports specifically of settlements with both the DOJ and McKesson. My only concern is if that means they are going to have to cash ou...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
Sign walkers no longer have a start date. Now say starting SOON. Okay guys. Whatever. This is however the first ad I've seen that also includes Mammoth Lakes. https://palmsprings.craigslist.org/lab/d/blythe-sign-walker-supervisor-blythe/7730910862.html CVS or whoever is behind these sign ads should...

Re: Macys Stores Closing by 2026
Right now it seems like Macy's is a deer in the headlights with the direction of their stores. I think some of these lower end Macy's stores would be a good fit to try a standalone last act store and see if Macy's outlets gain any traction. Some of these other closures seems like it's more for real ...

Re: Macys Closing Stores by 2026
I'm a little surprised River Park in Fresno may end up being a fatality but, then again it may be a redundant store with the one in Fashion Fair not too far away. This was a former Gottschalk's that opened not long before it went under. I wonder if they try to consolidate the men's/backstage over to...

Re: Trader Joe's to add Roseville Store
Trader Joe's should expand more in the central valley. Visalia and Merced would be great cities for fresh blood for Trader Joes.

Re: Dollar Tree To Raise Prices To $7
Hmm..... I'm wondering if Dollar Tree ends up rebranding to Family Dollar if these trends continue. The panhandlers outside the store near my house keeps me away from shopping there.

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
To me no closure news is good news. I just worry about the NorCal/Oregon stores as the most vulnerable right now with the distribution centers being so far away. I'll wait to see what will be the actual number of closures after all the leases that can't be renegotiated on that list.

Re: Dollar Tree - Family Dollar
At the two dollar tree stores in the bad part of Fresno, they don't allow any backpacks or large bags in the store. Walgreen's near Fresno City College has also implemented a large bag prohibition due to theft issues. This may be a trend in areas with high theft.

Re: Albertsons/Vons/Pavilions Cutting Store Hours
I wonder if this will be a start of a trend. I can understand the issue with shrink and I wonder if it is also the fact that more cities are now implementing curfews due crime trends.
