Sit down restaurants (the upper scale types) are thriving in my area but NOT the big chain ones.
Fast Food types are slow except the circus of I&O.
Fast casual are just okay.
Also indepenent sit downs are thriving.

Re: Red Lobster Considering Bankruptcy Filing
Interesting because ten years ago Darden separated Red Lobster and was crucified as if they had sold off their best asset. They must have known something back then, maybe some bad lease deals. Darden is still growing and adding restaurants while Red Lobster has been downsizing and struggling to mai...

Re: Aldi lists job openings at multiple warehouses and nearly 30 stores in Northern California
Also I was looking at the Aldi jobs site and saw nothing whatsoever about a new Northern California division. They aren't looking for District Managers or HR managers or any other signs of a expansion into that area nor the Moreno Valley division. They use the name of the servicing DC to name divis...

Re: The backroom at TJs
That may be true.
But none of the TJs I know are that large.

Re: The backroom at TJs
Not my experience, in general. TJs has had this problem forever and it's good to see them being finally sited for crazy backrooms. And yes there have been examples of that kind of mess with other retailers through the years but they were outliers even within the same retailer. The companies I worked...

Re: The backroom at TJs
Funny that this comes up as I happened to be driving around the back of a shopping center with a Trader Joe's last week and I noticed on their loading dock area they had a TJ's branded pop-up canopy with boxes of merchandise (or perhaps and hopefully, store supplies) being stored underneath! Common...
