Re: Capacity Limits... in the winter

Why should I pay top dollar for an experience that, due to current circumstances, is by necessity not going to be what I'm used to? You got me on this comment. Going even more off topic- what is this tele-medicine thing? Video call with a doctor? They don't even check your weight and blood pressure...

Re: Fred Meyer "Spokane Test" - eliminate dedicated electronics, reduce GM, expand liquor/food, require card for sale pr

An interesting observation. Fred Meyer is advertising their Black Friday sales on TV, and mentioning their sock sale using the Kroger animated characters. On TV they seem to not be making mention of the card at all, however, their ad which is posted on the Fred Meyer website clearly states that the...

Re: Macy’s 2020

It's official Macy's at Lloyd Center is closing January 18th. https://www.oregonlive.com/business/2020/11/macys-lloyd-center-store-will-close-in-january.html I bet by March the mall is padlocked. :( 83 associates. Not any way to run a full-service, large department store in 2020. They must have mor...

Re: Wendy's Takes Beef Off The Menu

Wendy's supply chain seems to be failing again. Here we are operating 100% drive through (before the official statewide change) and there was a sign on the drive through speaker that they are out of lettuce. (again)

Re: Mall Food Courts and Coronavirus

@babs, I haven't seen Bridge City Cafe reopen any of their mall locations, just the one on SW 3rd (which, considering, is kind of surprising itself). Thanks for the update on Lloyd Center. :? The delicious Indian place at Washington Square was on delivery services ahead of the pandemic, but I haven'...

Re: United Supermarkets opens in Pecos

I didn't even think about the store not having a coffee bar, that's a good point. They are pretty much in every store here now so it would be strange to find the opposite.

Well, I wish the town of Pecos and the site decision team at United good fortune.

P.V. Mall has declined significantly over the past few years, Retail Archaeology has chronicled recent developments on YouTube.

Thanks for the update on Dillard's.

Re: United Supermarkets opens in Pecos

Strange, with the amenities mentioned, this is a Market Street level store to me. I wonder why they chose to sign it United.

Then again, in Amarillo, the United locations varied widely by neighborhood. The newest one that was closest to my hotel resembled this. :)
