Actually the Hazlehurst store was an original W-D prior to 1996-97 and was subsequently demolished and Food Lion (prior to Delhaize) built a brand new store 1998-99. Good bye Thrifty Maid, good bye Superbrand, good bye Winn Dixie brand. Won't be long 'til they change the names on the front door. Plenti program sucks. There are no Exxon or Mobil stations within 100 miles of us. Maybe they should continue to offer fuel perks for underserved markets. I actually used that program and it did entice me to shop at their Harvey's and bilo stores. We have no incentive to shop there now.

SEG is also closing their Harvey's stores in Statesboro and also Hazlehurst, GA. I really don't "get" the low low concept and their rebranding of Harvey's into some sort of faux discount grocer with piss yellow walls. It is obvious the company doesn't have a clue how or what to retail, spe...
