Re: Largest Buc-ee's To Be Built in Luling, Texas
I was able to pay a visit to the Buc-ee's in Crossville Tennessee today as we approach the final destination of our cross country move. The place was an absolute madhouse, there had to be hundreds of cars in the parking lot. After posting to my family Marco Polo about the visit, I had several diffe...

Re: Harris Teeter/Kroger integration
As Kroger-Albertsons talks swirl, Kroger integration continues at Harris Teeter: seems as if at least one store is getting a Murray's cheese shop (Kroger subsidiary). I do not know if this is chainwide, or how far the branding will go. Harris Teeter has had the Murray’s program since 2021, when it ...

Re: Looking for a summary of NC grocery operators
Food Lion - Basic store, selection is kind of lacking (and no dedicated meat counter) but decent prices, and most of the name brand items. Harris Teeter - High priced store; but runs a lot of sales. Since the Kroger acquisition, it seems that stores have been more inconsistent. Lowe’s Foods - Farmho...

Re: Wegmans cancels plans for a store in NC
The RDU area is my home market so I can probably give a little insight as to what I’m seeing in the past couple of years: - Publix has been here for a little under seven years, but has around eight stores; There is another one confirmed for a part of Wake County that isn’t served by Harris Teeter (L...

Wegmans cancels plans for a store in NC
Sort of an odd move coming from Wegmans considering there wasn’t any neighborhood opposition to it (unlike the Buc-ee’s that was canceled two counties away). Online shopping looks to have been cited as a reason for the cancellation. https://www.wral.com/wegmans-cancels-proposed-store-near-cary-towne...

Re: What exactly happened with Kroger?
Fresh Eats Market got the plug pulled on them . The article also mentions the newish College Station convenience store also got sold off, which is surprising as the last time I remember it (surely sometime in the last year), it still had all the Kroger branded goods (including chilled bottled water...

Re: Two Harris Teeters in Charlotte closing (one temporary, one permanent)
2201 W T Harris Boulevard is odd looking for a retail store. From the outside you would think it's just a Harris Teeter corporate office, and not an actual supermarket. Most stores will have some big facade that's easily identifiable, and draws people in. It is very weird looking. Almost looks like...
