Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
Maybe the Kiefer Rite Aid WAS busy but it isn't anymore... it has self checkout. Two of them are shut off entirely and one was just closed. I was in the store for 20 minutes and nobody bought anything yesterday. A couple people used pharmacy. There was a handwritten sign in the entry that said "...

Re: Kroger will also sell Haggen banner to C&S
If C&S is actually serious about owning and operating their own supermarkets, as I think I saw on a different thread, maybe they should bring Bob Mariano? He would know how to operate a Haggen. Plus he could improve QFC. While Carrs is basically a Safeway, his expertise wouldn't hurt! Also nobo...

Re: Aldi lists job openings at multiple warehouses and nearly 30 stores in Northern California
The newer stores for these companies, especially H-Mart and 99 Ranch, are built and merchandised in a manner you might find surprising. In fact I think it could be argued their newer stores are superior builds to anything that the conventional chains are putting up. They seem to be applying all the...

Re: Kroger surpasses H-E-B and Walmart for #1 market share in Houston
I have to back pesudo3d up on this. The local rags have already paraded around this data and will likely have some trickle-down influence. Target has also built some large stores like Katy and New Caney, which have been lauded as being "huge" when, in reality, they're smaller than our exi...

Re: Marianos Naperville, IL Email Coupon
I've received Smith's coupons by mail, despite there not being a Smith's for >200 miles of Phoenix. I don't recall whether I received them after making a trip to Albuquerque and shopping at Smith's. This has happened to me multiple times back when I received paper coupons from Kroger in the mail. I...

Re: Aldi lists job openings at multiple warehouses and nearly 30 stores in Northern California
To be fair most Asian grocers are a messy hodgepodge of whatever they think people may buy too... it is usually difficult to find items and this includes the chains especially 99 Ranch, SF Supermarket, and some H Marts everything is just thrown around. There are obviously no planograms. Seafood City...

Re: Advance Auto already closing CA stores?
Their website seems to think that store is open? https://stores.advanceautoparts.com/ca/temecula/40605-winchester-rd But when I go try to do a store pick up order there, pretty much everything I tried to order is out of stock... I did eventually find an item that was in stock. They are ready to col...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
Visited some additional stores. Across the board these stores are in horrendous shape on in stock. Cleanliness was strange some stores were very clean and others were dirty. Staffing levels are noticeably cut. I expect a couple more closures around Sacramento to occur shortly based on the extremely ...

Re: 99 CENT ONLY closing
For the April closing stores listed on Shop Genius not all are actually closing in April but most are. On Sunday expect to see varying offers of 10 items for $5, 20 items for $5, 30 items for $5, or cartfull of items (you fill the cart) for $30 at the stores listed as closing in April. Depending how...

Re: 99 CENT ONLY closing
They seem to have cut off music in the stores that close Sunday. Items are extra 70% off whatever they scan. They already scan at various discounts 10-40% off. Sad to see them go, but they were not what they once were. In SoCal I noticed a lot of maintenance issues with their stores. Leaking/missing...
