Re: Official: Red Lobster files Chapter 11

Yard House isn't bad but I could take it or leave it- but that is a strong concept, very popular. Bahama Breeze I used to know someone who really liked that chain, and I agree it was pretty good. I think that BB unit in Las Vegas did close some years back or maybe it did manage to survive; it never ...

Re: McDonald's PlayPlace History

Many Carls Jrs in Boise area have play places. They even have an exterior sign for the Cool (star) Kids Play place. They have closed a couple Boise locations in the past year which one did have the play place. It appears the remaining locations close dine in at 8 PM. Not sure what is happening with ...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores

I think the Rite Aid/McKesson situation is important. Rite Aid despite continually shrinking is still a very large customer for McKesson. Safeway uses McKesson as well. I wonder at this point if McKesson is part of why Rite Aid is still around. I don't think their pharmacies are having the supply is...

Re: Target Lowers Prices on 5,000 Items for the Summer

The bigger problem I see is if you keep throwing $10 off $50, $5 off $25, $5 off $30, $5 off $15, grocery, offers, this makes me think your prices must be high and that is why you are doing this every week... that isn't exactly accurate but their pricing isn't great. Better than Safeway of course, ...

Re: Downtown Scottsdale Fry's to become a Whole Foods

I don't know what it is with Safeway and produce. It seems like some stores are able to rotate it correctly and others just can't make it happen. Many of the NorCal Stores do good enough sales and have small backrooms so the produce properly flows in and quickly gets put out/sells. I have had numero...

Re: ARTICLE: Giant bans customers from carrying large bags in DC stores amid mass shoplifting

I fully support this but in order to enforce this type of policy you need trained loss prevention and/or armed security. This is not a policy that general store employees should be tasked with enforcing. I also think there are potential access concerns at play here. They may need to offer to "s...

Re: Target Lowers Prices on 5,000 Items for the Summer

I do not understand what they are doing. They were making noticeable improvements in 2023, trying to reinvest in the all-but-defunct Super format, and beating Walmart on price with private label foods. Now they have these disastrous SKU reductions that are being randomly tested in stores which leav...
