Is it just me, or is Walmart no longer using the word "Supercenter" on new Supercenters and existing structures that have been changed to the new signage?
I've noticed this on at least a couple of Supercenters.

Re: Fred Meyer checkstand question
The idea with the Fred Meyer dual conveyer is that the cashier can bag stuff off the first conveyer as they scan things, then place the full bag on the second conveyer to move it down out of the way for the next bag. The customer then loads the bags into their cart at the end on their way out of the...

Re: Emptying malls in Portland, OR...observations
I was in Jantzen Beach last year, and I was appalled at what they did with the remaining wing. I can't believe they painted all that wood gray and blue. The few tenants in there are mostly local concerns. The "customers" largely appeared to be the "nothing better to do" type just...

Re: Albertsons Exiting Utah
Were Albertsons stores in the state actually doing much business on Sundays? It depends on what town you're in. You should see the Orem Costco on a Sunday. Total ghost town. Salt Lake City or Ogden...more 'normal'. An aside about Macey's...The Macey family is not LDS, and the stores used to be open...

Yes it was. And it has since been remodeled into a Lifestyle store.

Re: Renton Marina Safeway gets a Lifestyle Remodel
Wow. I'm counting like 65 available parking spaces on that lot. I'm betting one reason Safeway didn't expand this store, or do much to the exterior, is because it would have opened a big can of worms with the city relating to parking that didn't justify the store's projected business. There's an emp...

Re: Virgin Megastores Closing
Salt Lake City's store closed at least a year ago. It was in the Gateway mall west of the downtown core.
I'd also been in one at Grapevine Mills in the Dallas area a few years ago.
I don't think I ever bought anything at either one. As previously noted...expensive...
