67th @ Indian School was a former Smith’s …one of the first Smith’s stores built in the Phoenix area around 1990.

A number of Fry’s sites were originally Smith’s- especially in smaller towns like Flagstaff and Cottonwood. Converted over at the time of the Kroger-Fred Meyer merger.
And Bashas’ cash cows have always been Food City, AJ’s Fine Foods and the rural stores like the Dine’ Markets.

Springfield used to be the predominant private label brand in California, even having its own ad campaign and billboards. It became the store brand of Arden Mayfair even sold at its El Rancho stores in Arizona.
