Re: Eddie Bauer dumbs down logo for GenZ

When Lands End changed their logo, it took several years to fully switch it out. For seven seasons, you saw a mix of labels. I think some items have a much longer lead time than we think.

Re: Macy's Buyout? Private ownership bid

And speaking of Macy's.....news broke today that 150 locations are to close in the next few years. https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/27/investing/macys-closing-150-stores/index.html Wait... didn't they already close all their poorly performing stores? I'm now starting the countdown clock for them. T-5 ye...

Bluemercury

With today's announcement that Macy's will open 30 more Bluemercury locations, it made me think that perhaps Bluemercury would have been better off on their own. With Ulta and Sephora growing much faster and having many more locations, has the ownership of Bluemercury held back their potential?

Re: Burlingame Fred Meyer sign demolished

Apparently the new sign is already in place, and if one was not trained to dig deep, probably indistinguishable from the last version. "Kroger Family of Stores" did something right. 8-) OregonLive.com - Meet the New Burlingame Fred Meyer Sign I have some pictures of took of it at night (n...

Seems like they might work well, as other places do fish tacos, which are going to be somewhat similar.
Stick enough mayo or tartar sauce in it to mask the fish flavor and it works!

Re: Fish Sandwiches at Restaurants

Fish sandwiches are once again appearing at fast food restaurants. A&W is advertising the quarter pound fish sandwich. Some people are saying it is the best fish sandwich of all the fast food restaurants including Culver's. I tried the Jack In The Box sandwich and it seemed to be on the small s...

Re: Do malls/shopping centers require current logo sign updates?

Speaking of updated logos. Why does the on-court logo at the Target Center use an upper case version of their logo when Target has switched to lower case letters? Seems like a huge miss, especially this year as the Minnesota Timberwolves are doing so well and getting more national TV coverage.

Re: Target "Self Checkout Hours" 11 AM to 7 PM

On a side note, I wish Target would just cut out a portion of their curb and sidewalk area in front of their store for cars to drive up and pick up their orders. Most stores have giant, wide sidewalks with plenty of room to cut out a pick up area. That way you could return the 16 to 32 choice parkin...

Re: Bank Branches Inside Supermarkets

Store banks have largely disappeared from most regions I visit. What was once a feature in most stores, is now a feature in what feels like about 2 in 100 stores. The one bank I see that still has quite a few supermarket branches scattered around is US Bank but they have been actively closing those...
