Re: Self Check Outs
The Home Depot in Tigard, Oregon went 100% self-checkout in the main part of the store. Pro is still staffed. Is this a test or a chain-wide trend?

I liked the puppets better. Those were at least memorable and fun to watch.

Re: CA Fast Food Closures Due to $20 Wage/Fast Food Council
It will be interesting to see how this shakes out. https://kmph.com/news/local/fast-food-workers-blindsided-by-sudden-closure-of-fosters-freeze-in-lemoore Questionable what the cause of this is since it is a string of locations many outside CA. Not surprised MOD is closing units. MOD overexpanded a...

Re: Photos: New Seasons Market Milwaukie
This location is a gamble for New Seasons Market. The demographics in the area aren't as ideal as some of their other locations. If it works out, this opens up a lot of new locations for them down the road in areas they hadn't considered previously. I wish them luck!

It always felt comfortably large to me in the former ownership. New Seasons opens its newest in Milwaukie I c...

Re: Bi-Mart Membership Sharing
I am very familiar with the chain and past management. The membership is nothing more than a gimmick. The idea is that if you are a member, they can get you in the mailing list. And you feel like you need to shop there and think you are getting a great deal due to the membership. The one time fee is...

Re: Macys Stores Closing by 2026
I went to the Streets of Tanasbourne store yesterday. Some observations...it's a two-level store in a lifestyle center that is already set up for a Macy's smaller format store. About half of the top floor is furniture. About a 1/3 of the first floor is the disorganized mess better known as Backstage...

Re: What's Office Depot's future
At this point they should just let Staples and Office Depot merge. During the original merger proposal, weren't they going to use the name, Staples, the office depot? Go for it! The only thing they seem to be competing against each other is who can close more stores. In my area, there are only two S...
