Re: Albertsons/Vons/Pavilions Cutting Store Hours
I wonder if this will be a start of a trend. I can understand the issue with shrink and I wonder if it is also the fact that more cities are now implementing curfews due crime trends.

Re: Wal Mart Remove Self Checkouts
The Walmart at Herndon/Ingram in Fresno is now restricting self-checkout to 20 items or less and only have a fraction of the self-checkouts open. They have an officer stationed near the self-checkout right now and are in the process of hiring private security to station near the entrances.

Re: Oakland Taco Bell units: Drive Through Only, No Cash Accepted
I even hear for people who do not have cars in Oakland it is very difficult to get food delivered in those areas. Since dashers don't want to deliver to those areas.

Re: Oakland Taco Bell units: Drive Through Only, No Cash Accepted
The fact the citizens are starting to say "enough is enough" is step one. National Guard is needed in Oakland at this point and honestly, Oakland is likely heading for municipal bankruptcy, so I don't know if things have bottomed out there yet.

Re: Oakland Taco Bell units: Drive Through Only, No Cash Accepted
Until trends change in Oakland, I can see more fast food places follow suit. Even bay area residents are fed up with all the theft and are voting for law and order. The mayor in Oakland will likely be successfully recalled at this rate and bring in someone who will fix the police department.

Re: Arby's $1 Sliders
The bay area locations never got remodels and the Fresno stores got theirs in the mid-2010s. I'm glad they finally did the repairs at the Fresno locations so the dining rooms can be open. Visalia is finally going to get a remodel in the near future.

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
I see a lot of drive through pharmacy traffic at the Rite Aids on Fresno/C St & Blackstone/Olive since the CVS in downtown Fresno closed and liquidation would create a big pharmacy desert in that area as the next closest drug stores would be the Walgreen's on Blackstone/Clinton & Cedar/Olive...

Re: Arby's $1 Sliders
Arby's has held their own in the central valley much better than the bay area. The two locations in fresno got remodels and visalia is in the works at some point. Reopening the dining rooms have helped them out a bit too.

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
Now that i've seen a verified news story about by storewanderer » 9 minutes ago https://www.abc27.com/local-news/rite-a ... -negative/ That may be the nail in the coffin for Rite Aid. I just wonder how long it's now going to take for the courts to approve liquidation. Thrifty was very wise to partne...

Re: San Francisco Centre Renamed To Emporium Centre
the retail exodus in san francisco will drive the city into chapter 9 bankruptcy and honestly it may not be the worst thing. how will SF look post-bankruptcy?
