Re: Terrible Experience With Vons
Well, still no response from an actual human at either Albertsons/Vons or BBB, but I got an automated email from Vons stating "Refund request approved," and they did in fact process a refund for $11.80, which is the amount I was overcharged for the five items that qualified for the Fab 5 p...

Re: Kohl's Self Pickup
As I posted in another thread, Kohl's "temporarily paused" their curbside pickup service last month (with no advance warning.) And this change does nothing to serve people who do not want to go into stores. I don't know of any other major retailer that has eliminated curbside pickup.

Re: Terrible Experience With Vons
I am curious- on the website, do they have a way to dispute any parts of your order/initiate a return/report a quality issue and get a refund automatically (like almost every other major national store chain- including Kroger- has)? Yes -- that is how I got the refund for the missing items from the...

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco
Judge rules Walgreen's helped fuel SF's opioid crisis. Walgreens helped fuel the opioid epidemic in San Francisco by shipping thousands of "suspicious orders" of prescription drugs to its pharmacies, a federal judge ruled. More than 100 million prescription opioid pills were dispensed by ...

Re: Geico Closes All Offices in California
If I recall correctly, I don't think GEICO had local agent offices in California until a few years ago, so I don't know if this is the big deal the media seem to be making it. And the offices that were closed appear to be franchise-type operations staffed by independent contractors, so I don't under...

Re: Terrible Experience With Vons
Just to clarify: My original order included EIGHT "Fab 5" items, all of which I was charged for on the invoice. However, three of them were among the missing items that I did not actually receive, and for which I received a full refund. But that still left me with five eligible items that ...

Re: Costco and Trader Joe's Selling Pineberries
I have seen them at Aldi, too. I think they were priced between $3 and $4 for a small container (smaller than the 1-lb. strawberry containers.)

Re: Terrible Experience With Vons
Have you gone to the store and spoken to a manager in person? That can often yield better results than online complaints. Well, the reason I did the drive-up-and-go order is that I was trying to avoid going into the store, since there is a COVID uptick in my area. So I would rather not go into the ...

Terrible Experience With Vons
I'm putting this in the California thread because that's where it happened, but it really applies to Albertsons at the corporate level as well. I mentioned this briefly in another thread, but I don't want to hijack that thread with the full story, so I'll recap briefly here. I made an online "D...

Re: Amazon Fresh: Just Walk Out
Well, it took a full 24 hours, but I FINALLY received my receipt from yesterday's purchase -- and surprisingly, it was 100% accurate. And even though many of the items I wanted were unavailable, I still managed to find $40 worth of items to buy, and saved quite a bit. At full price, my items would h...
