Re: 99 cents only calls it quits
Some of the locations - not the inner city locations - in suburban & exurban areas are going to be hot commodities for new tenants. Especially in expanding areas like the Temecula Valley where very few storefronts are vacant. In my city, Menifee, California, Trader Joe's has unsuccessfully been ...

Re: 🛒 Kroger-Albertsons Merger: California Impact
Smart and Final Extra! is opening literally next door to this Ralphs in the former Best Buy space this summer. New Aldi opened 1 mile down the street on February 1, 2024. Already quite popular. Temecula is not growing very fast. Unlike Murrieta, Menifee, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, they haven't approv...

This area - within a 2-mile radius - is about to see a population explosion with thousands of new apartments under construction, approved or in the approval process. The latest a 387-unit complex 1.7 miles west on Murrieta Hot Springs at Jefferson. Traffic is already very bad surrounding the Sam's ...

Re: Albertsons/Vons/Pavilions Cutting Store Hours
They seem to be cutting fuel station hours as well but not always in tandem with store hours. Temescal Valley, for example, store remains open 6 am to 11 pm but fuel station is now 5 am to 10 pm. Was open previously 5 am until 11 pm (this store location just added two additional self-checkouts, now ...

Ralphs is advertising the grand reopening of the Temecula location today. This store already had the newest current Ralphs decor ("Neighborhood") and the website/ad do not indicate it was upgraded to Fresh Fare. I will go check it out this weekend and see if they actually have come up wit...

Re: Aldi announces 800-store expansion as it completes Southeastern Grocers acquisition
Aldi is good at making something sound like a huge deal. It will be interesting to see how many actually open in CA/NV/AZ and how far into NorCal they push. I do not expect them to do overly well in NorCal. If they get up north of Sacramento they may do better. Redding, Marysville, Yuba City, Chico...
