1st Superior Grocers open in Las Vegas valley
With ALDI on the way, here's another new competitor as "southern Nevada" increasingly becomes So-Cal lite. ;-) California grocery chain opens 1st Vegas store 21955 N Nellis Blvd., 89115 There was a pretty cool Instagram video showing off the tamale bar, the agua frescas, the boba tea bar, ...

G.O. new agency (?), new creative
Focus is on the app and that it apparently offers "bargains" alongside showing in-store inventory.
Creative seems to sound a little different, I am thinking they have a new ad agency.

Re: Grocery Outlet Mid-Atlantic Expansion
I'll probably add this to the national thread as well, but G.O. is pushing that they now offer an "app" and that it can search your store's inventory, so you know if they will or won't have something in stock.

New logo, new tag: Market of Choice
It's not as clear from the desktop website, but MoC has updated their logo and font families to reflect some of their new movements in "local" food and branding. They definitely are branding the "Oregon-ness" so clearly not moving into SW Washington state (or elsewhere) soon. Fro...

Just in case a non-regular reader stumbles into this thread (remember, this forum was once cited in a "news" article) - this is the APRIL FOOLS story for 2024.

Re: In & Out
Oregon is one of the least religious states in the country, and this email came from a political party message. I think it is similar to agreeing with what the other poster stated. It’s Easter - a day of celebration for many, whether secular or religious; a good day for contemplation of what good we...

Re: Meanwhile in Canada, they're building Malls
I haven't been in a Canadian mall for about a decade, but the last time I was in one in B.C., they continue to be more like our malls used to be - stores that sold a variety of things and would attract a variety of people to them. The Bay was kind of snoozy like Macy's but not terrible, (at that tim...
