Re: Safeway Lifestyle signage problems
In my area, Safeway has recently been replacing the old signs with the new signs. I haven't seen the signs at night. However, it is the local or regional sign maker that is responsible for a low quality product. The signs are installed during the day and maybe they were not tested in the dark. If y...

Re: Albertsons Store Closures
It seems like Albertsons is spiraling towards their own self-made doom. Closing stores like crazy is burning their few remaining customers. Not lowering their prices to compete with their competition is also a major mistake. I wonder why they removed half of the fluorescent bulbs. Are they trying t...

Re: Albertsons Store Closures
About that Temple City store. I noted the 1980s interior, as well as something that is becoming all too common at many Albertsons..half of the fluorescent tubes have been removed. A LOT of Albertsons I have visited recently have been dirty, and the reduced lighting seems to enhance this. I wouldn't ...

Safeway Lifestyle signage problems
I have been noticing a pattern lately, of recently remodeled Safeway stores around Portland & Southwest Washington which have updated to the new signage outside. Nearly every location I have driven by at night has had part of at least one sign not working correctly..I have seen several S logos f...

Re: Ritz Camera Files Chapter 11
I purchased a camera tripod at a Ritz/Kits location several years back. The salesman insisted it would work with my VHS video camera. It didn't (it did not hold the weight) and I practically had to scream bloody murder to get a refund. Despite paying cash I had to wait 14 business days to get a refu...

Re: Partial QFC remodels
I no longer live close to a QFC so can't comment on them. However, Starbucks is present in many Fred Meyer stores.

Re: Rite Aid's Future
Rite Aid, if you judge by the apperance of their stores, is hard to figure out. In the Portland, OR area, Rite Aid has recently built a few new stores. However, there are still many unremodeled former PayLess stores in operation. Some are fully stocked, others have areas walled off. It is also inter...
