Re: McDonalds- no menu board. Use kiosk or app.

They need to check out McBroken and ID the "bad" franchisees that way. I'm dead serious--the milkshake machine's current operations is an excellent indicator of the restaurant as a whole. To be fair, the ice cream machines McDonald's uses (Taylor) are horribly unreliable and require a pai...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores

They restructured regional management last week. Consolidated districts, laid off people no longer needed due to having fewer stores, etc. It "feels" like they are trying to normalize their go forward operation. It does not feel to me like they are about to liquidate. The same could be sa...

Re: Wegmans to close Natick, MA location

I've noticed a recent Wegmans Ad airing mentioning that inflation is going down really touting their commitment to low prices. I tried searching for it online but nobody seems to have it posted anywhere.

Re: Grocery Outlet looking at NY locations

I wonder if they're just a little over-expanded on the west coast--leading to not enough bargains and specials popping up to keep their channels full. Perhaps a more even distribution of locations (including expansion into NY/New England) will assist them with perishable closeouts (closer to manufa...

Re: Stores That Still Don't Have EMV

I was shocked that the store was so busy on a Saturday. Their business is strong despite their high prices. Busy with people utilizing their in-store services, or just dropping off/picking up packages though? Around me, there are definitely fewer FedEx stores than UPS, so the ones that there are, a...

Re: Sheetz having trouble gaining traction in Detroit

I have been going to Sheetz in one way or another since 1992 when I first discovered them while in college in PA. Between price increases and a general decline in quality especially in the past 5 years or so, my Sheetz visits have gone down significantly. Even fuel isn't as competitively priced at ...

Re: CVS pulling out of Puerto Rico (22 stores)

Taking a look at the ads for Farmacia Caridad it looks like they sell appliances, beds, furniture, etc. It is more of a variety or department store than a drugstore. Oh wow, such an odd variety of items! Also something that stuck out to me...they are selling 'Equate' hand soap, 'Great Value' light ...

Re: Wegmans to close Natick, MA location

That's the worst way to any anchor, does not produce any cross-traffic between the mall and the store, and people visiting the supermarket have to deal with mall traffic and the issues there (ring roads, etc.) Wegmans has a 'mall store' near me (Montgomery Mall In Montgomeryville/North Wales, PA) I...
