Re: Old logo in use at new Walmart
I just checked my receipt from the new two or so week old Wal Mart here and it has the same exact font so I am guessing the same printers and also contains the old logo, and has my signature on the receipt for a real small purchase. The printers must have some kind of very old configuration. To clar...

Re: Old logo in use at new Walmart
It may depend what version of the printer they are using. Wal Mart has quite a few different register printers and receipts vary depending on the printer. Some print your signature on the receipt, others do not, others do only if the purchase is a certain dollar amount.

Re: CVS Corporate Layoffs
But all that deadweight is being paid, collecting a check, and spending the money thus putting it back into the economy. I'm not saying it is a bad thing to cut deadweight by any means; companies should not have a bunch of middle management that does little to nothing in the first place. But, if the...

Re: Supervalu Sells Bristol Farms Chain
There was truly no sign of Albertsons at Bristol Farms at all. I had lunch at the San Francisco one shortly after it opened and I don't remember any of the food being particularly good. I do recall some items being terrible and some being possibly okay. I spent about $9 on lunch and didn't have much...

Re: Safeway Cash Register Donations
Wow, so announcing over the speaker when a customer donates is being done at Vons Division too? I thought it was some wacky idea of a store manager or something here. You know, Safeway was for quite a while my favorite of the major chain grocers. Between the really bad pricing and stuff like this, S...

Associated closing 3 stores
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=12906241 If the one on 200 South is the one I am thinking it is, it was a dump and downright creepy the night I went in. No loss there. Stores like that one aren't helping their image one bit. 900 West is a surprising closure. This was a pretty heavily remodeled A...

Re: Safeway Cash Register Donations
Made a purchase there over the weekend. First the pinpad asks for a donation then the cashier asked if I wanted to donate. The cashier even dared to suggest I donate 75cents to round my xx.25 purchase up to an even dollar amount. NO, I do not want to donate. That is why I answered NO to the question...

Re: O'Reilly-fication of CSK
I think the new signs may be needs based right now. A number of months ago, the store in South Carson City, NV got new O'Reilly signs outside. Inside, the store retains the Kragen interior signs including a large Kragen logo on the wall. Last month, the store in extreme South Reno at Damonte Ranch P...
