Re: Dollar General To Open 800 Stores In 2024
Why is this in the Supermarket category when all other Dollar General posts have been in "Specialty Retail Chains"?

Re: Amazon Halts All New Amazon Fresh Just Walk Out Stores
Just got my "Grand Reopening" mailer for Pasadena. Great coupons: 25% off of $50 for weeks of 11/11, 11/18, and 11/26, and 20% off for 12/2. Not a bad deal, especially when stacked with the 5% rebate for the Amazon Prime VISA.

Angelo Caputo's Fresh Market
I had never heard of this store before, but apparently they have 10 locations in the Chicago area. I just became aware of it because of this article about the modern design of a new store in Norridge.

Omega Mart: Would you pay $50 to visit a fake supermarket?
Omega Mart in Las Vegas's Area 15. Sounds like it could be fun ... but I don't know about $50 worth of fun.

Re: Amazon Halts All New Amazon Fresh Just Walk Out Stores
I went into the Pasadena (CA) Amazon Fresh this afternoon (mainly to use my 20% off of $50 coupon that expired today.) I hadn't shopped there in a while and there are big changes underway. They have already removed any vestiges of the "Just Walk Out" technology. No more entrance gates, no ...

Re: 99 Ranch Market Coming To Shops at Santa Anita
Interestingly, there's an existing 99 Ranch Market in Arcadia about 1.5 miles away from the new mall location. It's in a location that was at one time a Pantry store that closed when Vons built one the first Pavilions literally next to it. (It's been turned into a Vons.) There's also an Aldi across ...

99 Ranch Market Coming To Shops at Santa Anita
This is a hugely successful mall (formerly owned by Westfield) in an area with a substantial Asian population and a lot of Asian-related stores and restaurants, in addition to many traditional mall tenants. (Anchors are Macy's, JCPenney, and Nordstrom.) The 99 Ranch is going into the old Robinson's ...
