Albertsons is buying 5 more Dominick's to be remodeled into Jewel-Osco stores. Also, the president of Shaw's will become the president of Jewel-Osco. Shaw's is one of the worst divisions of Albertsons. Now the president of Shaw's can make Jewel even worse than it is. Albertsons also says they are planning new remodels for Jewel stores.
This is awful. Jewel-Osco decor is probably the nicest looking decor of all of these chains with wood fixtures on the walls and dramatically lit wall signs. Why do want to change it? This time Albertsons, LLC will be doing the remodeling. Their newest decor is cheap looking. They repaint the walls in bright conflicting colors and then throw up a ton of ugly Albertsons clovers on the walls. These are not remodels, but demodels. They are making their stores look even cheaper and tackier.
