Amarillo United / Market Street converting coffee kiosks

Post by SamSpade »

From Peet's to Starbucks. Interestingly enough, the way the article is worded, it almost sounds like they could terminate some of the coffee kiosk employees after the changeover.

This is a good move. Starbucks kiosks are proven to be most productive; higher customer counts and they can command higher prices.

I may prefer Peet's or Coffee Bean to Starbucks but the vast majority of customers don't. Speaking of Peet's, the German group who owns them also owns Noah/Einstein Bagels and Krispy Kreme now. I think that would be a really good tri-branded concept: Peet's/Krispy Kreme/Einstein Bagel.
