First Smiths Marketplace in Las Vegas opened today

These two stores opened today. The other is the former Glazier's...

Glad to see they still built the new Marketplace, given how many projects Kroger seems to be canceling elsewhere.

Also appears they are opening a new distribution center in Las Vegas? Maybe Fry's is so busy, they need more capacity.

What’s the history here? Has Smith’s been in LV for a long time or were they all previously Food 4 Less? Was Ralph’s or Fry’s ever in this market?
I’m surprised it took this long for a Marketplace to get built there with so many in Utah and Arizona.

Smith’s has been in Vegas as far back as the 70s....originally as Smith’s Food King

Las Vegas is actually Smiths largest market. Higher store count than Salt Lake City and actually much higher volume stores.
