Mar-Val closing SaveMax opening.

Postby romleys » March 23rd, 2010, 3:49 pm

Mar-Val Foods is closing its Ripon location after 42 years in business. The grocery store replacing Mar-Val will be an independent operating under the name SaveMax (no relation to Save Mart or Food Maxx)...

This article was poorly written. Mar Val is retaining the store but is changing the concept. Maybe the article was written this way on purpose to try and erase the wrath of Mar Val.

I can't find anything that explicitly says this store is closing, but an equipment auction is generally a pretty solid sign.

They didn't even give it six months as "Sav Max."
