"All 32 stores that Smart & Final plans to acquire from Haggen will be turned into the company’s Extra! format, which focuses on selling organic items and more household items. Five existing legacy Smart & Final stores located near the conversion sites will shutter. The stores should open during the first half of 2016."

"Richard Phegley, Smart & Final’s chief financial officer said Wednesday the company expected to pay $70 million for the Haggen stores and roughly the same amount to convert them to Smart & Final brands"
