It's just NY Post clickbait on Albertsons' failed bid for Sprouts and Whole Foods.CalItalian wrote:http://nypost.com/2017/05/30/albertsons ... take-over/
But really...those chains were a poor fit for the chain and they have so much that they need to improve themselves in, with enough spare assets floating around that they can probably do it without pulling out of markets or causing store conditions to deteriorate further.

Retail chains need to focus on improving their existing stores before taking over others and becoming so big they end up losing their focus. Albertsons has enough to deal with in its present form.

^This. Albertsons has been overly focused on topline growth instead of bottom-line results. NAI has been unprofitable for years, and if they ever hope to go public they are going to have to establish a track record of success.Super S wrote:Retail chains need to focus on improving their existing stores before taking over others and becoming so big they end up losing their focus.
