It is certainly very detailed. They even have Kroger brand products on the shelves. I assume that it is sort of a free advertisement for the company. Perhaps Kroger made a donation.
I have seen a children's museum with a Chase bank inside. They even had atm machines for the kids.
When I was a kid in the late 80s, I went on a field trip to the Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley, California and they had a supermarket checkout lane where you could ring up items using a real barcode scanner. They had items like empty milk cartons and other supermarket items.
