I see a new Rite Aid currently under construction in Phoenix, OR. It appears to be replacing an existing store that is very small and was previously an independent pharmacy.

Has anyone else noticed any new construction stores at Rite Aid?

A new 11,115 square foot Rite Aid is about to be built in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The developer is eager to open it in less than a year.

A new one just opened in a mixed use project that replaced an old store in Washington DC. tere are 2 CVS stores nearby, but no Walgreen's.

My friend mentioned that Rite Aid is constructing a new store in Salt Lake City. I have no idea what that will mean with the coming exit and Walgreens purchase.

In our state (Maine) Rite Aid is going from 79 stores to just 1. The bulk of them got the Wellness makeover. What a waste.

I am eager to see what Walgreens does with the Rite Aid decor. Walgreens could learn a thing or two about a pleasant looking store.

The Walgreens near me added some sort of black and white decor recently. It is similar to the black and white trend of Wal-Mart and CVS, but has an ugly floor with cheap looking rough surface tiles.

Perhaps Walgreens will leave the Rite Aid decor alone.

I imagine that Walgreens will convert Rite Aid to Walgreens with just a signage conversion and systems reset rolling through markets. I doubt they will do full remodels on the chain.

It is interesting as they also recently opened a new store somewhere in Denver or a suburb.

I am disappointed to hear of new stores they will turn around and immediately sell to Walgreens.
