Walgreens Selling Produce

Post by Alpha8472 »

I walked into a Walgreens today and they were selling what I believe were some kind of small citrus fruits in bags. I think they might have been clementines.

These types of purchases are purely impulse buys, but I saw many customers pick up a bag.

I don't know if Walgreens is planning to sell more produce, but it could be the start of something.

There are a couple high volume Walgreens in Reno that have sold single apples, oranges, and bananas for many years. I also think most of their stores in San Francisco sell these items. They receive the items from the supplier that brings in the frozen foods and refrigerated non-beverage items. I haven't seen any bagged produce there, yet.
