There's probably a metaphor in this somewhere... Amazon's hunger for office space in Downtown Seattle seems insatiable (this comes on the heels of an announcement that they have leased all 722,000 square feet of office space in what will eventually be Downtown Seattle's second tallest office building.)

I don't know what was worse, the Macy's in Downtown Miami or the one in Downtown Seattle. Maybe Macy's in Downtown San Francisco and Downtown Chicago just set the bar too high for me.
Amazon should just take the whole building in Seattle off Macy's hands and try its hand at running a department store.

I remember that as a Bon Marche when I was kid living in Seattle. It was amazing back then before Macy's took over. If I remember right they used all eight floors. They had an amazing furniture store on the top two floors that was a maze of fully decorated rooms featuring their products.
