Walmart is replacing Scan and Go and replacing it with an employee run program called "checkout with me."

On some other forums I frequent it was mentioned that shrink may have been the reason why Scan and Go was killed.

With Walmart abandoning the idea, I'm curious how much longer we'll see Scan, Bag, and Go promoted by Kroger.

No surprise this failed (again).

Will be interesting if Kroger keeps pushing it...

That explains why it disappeared from the redesigned checkstands at the nearby Neighborhood Market where it was originally marketed as "coming soon." I guess at least we got more (and better laid out) self checkouts as a result.
