It is worth noting that this chain is present in nearly every major mall in the U.S., and often seems to be a holdout even in malls that are struggling. Although these are smaller stores, if the chain folded it would have an impact, especially on the malls that are struggling.

There have been photos posted from at least a couple of the Toys R Us stores with the Claire's merchandise blocked off (with those stretchy line makers you often see in banks and similar places) so that it is not able to be sold.
