It's all a soap opera. Would Tuft and Needle still slam mattress stores?
Mattress World in Portland seemed like a soap opera of sorts for years according to their commercials featuring the husband and wife owners. There was a divorce, then the husband appeared in a seperate commercial for a store he opened on his own, then the wife was by herself for a while, then another guy in the ads, who has been by himself more recently.

Not to mention Bedmart where the owner's attractive looking daughter appears in all the ads. Plus Parklane that makes it's own mattresses and has really competitive prices.
I just realized there are two Mattress Firm locations here. The first one is at an outparcel of The Crossings, between a Starbucks and Panera Bread. That location was built about 2007-08. The other, that I thought was Mattress Giant is actually a Mattress Firm Clearance. It is in a former Blockbuster Video store in front of the Walmart a few miles away. It opened after Blockbuster went out of business.
