I've always found Dick's Drive-ins to be a bit puzzling. They are basically the result you would get if you created a competitor to the then fledgling McDonald's chain in 1954... Then basically left it as is for 60 years, and never bothered expanding at all. There is one location that was opened in the late 60s in Bellevue and which closed a few years later, but aside from that they have had only the same four locations up until 2011 when they finally added a fifth in Lynnwood.

. . . added a fifth in Lynnwood.
Edmonds :-)
I always loved the place and I hope the family business is doing well so nothing will really change. Their prices are fair, the quality is usually high and the service is efficient. The 2011 contest was a big deal to select the new location. I would like them to accept debit cards someday, I mean those fees are pretty modest (maybe skip "credit" like WinCo Foods).

Speaking of debit cards, they just announced today that they will begin taking debit cards in their restaurants soon, and should be up and running in all of their locations by the end of September:

Aside from a few single-location places (XXX Root Beer in Issaquah comes to mind) and some food trucks, it seems like Dick's and the Costco food court were just about the last cash-only holdouts around here, and Costco started taking debit cards in the food court sometime within the last few months.
