Harris Teeter opens 100,000 sq. ft. Store in New Bern, NC

The store, which replaced an older 1990s store in the opposite corner of MLK/Glenburnie is the largest store in the Harris Teeter enterprise.

Nice to see Kroger implementing large stores in the Harris Teeter division; Hopefully this won’t be the only 100,000 square foot location in their portfolio.

That decor, while not as nice as what H-T has done in the past, is much better looking than any of the decors that Kroger has. H-T must make a lot of money, to be able to continue to be so independent. Kroger has blurred its banners so much over the past few years...

Harris Teeter #421, New Bern Marketplace, 3565 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, New Bern, North Carolina 28562-2207, is a test for Harris Teeter. Can Harris Teeter succeed with 100,000-square-foot stores? Most new stores that have opened recently or are under construction are 53,000 and 78,000 square feet.
