Interesting footnote - Could some of ShopKo's troubles be from last year's Payless bankruptcy?
Payless runs leased shoe departments in stores and may have broken some of those leases in their chapter 11 filing?

Shopko also has added Lacey, WA to the list, apparently last month:

This location has not looked well for years.

There seems to be quite a few locations being added to the closing list.

This does not seem to be a good situation. And tomorrow is the 15th. We will see what happens. I guess I need to go visit Redding.

Now a Shopko in Yakima:

I am starting to wonder if Shopko is going to exit the WA/OR/ID/CA markets, and close the distribution center in Boise. Shopko didn't have a big presence to begin with, and when stores are gone from a region, it is pointless to operate a distribution center in the region.
