Re: Cardenas Buys Rio Ranch chain
I do not know much about the chain they are taking over, but Cardenas did not last long near me. They closed down their brand new store after only a few months. Their prices were not so great and in many cases was much higher than other grocery stores. They might appeal to a certain demographic, but their pricing needs improvement.

The closest Cardenas gets to my neck of the woods are Modesto, Pittsburg, and Vallejo. In terms of Hispanic supermarkets, Sacramento is dominated by the locally based la superior supermercados chain.
