SoCal Albertsons Self Checkout Removal

I was in the Chula Vista Albertsons and noticed they had mostly Albertsons LLC looking signs above the customer service area and about 5 desk-style checkouts. Upon better examination it was obvious that self checkout was in this space and the customer in front of me was commenting to the cashier asking how "the recent changes are working out."

Have they removed self checkout from any other locations?

I still have mixed feelings about removing self checkout. I know there are so many factors like machine cost, theft, potential poor service, etc. But whenever I go to these Albertsons that took self checkout out I find myself waiting in a line for 3-4 minutes to check out and in the locations with self checkout I can usually get out without waiting at all...
