Carl's Jr. & Hardee's

Post by Alpha8472 »

They have brought back the Chicken Tender Wraps and are selling them for $3.99. Everyone seems to be doing wraps now, except for McDonald's.

I need to find the article, but it explained the chicken explosion in Fast Food.

In a nutshell, the average American eats twice as much chicken as they do beef.

There are twice as many Hamburger restaurants than chicken focused restaurants. So theoretically there's room for four times as many chicken restaurants as there are today.

Thus the growing brands like Chick-fil-a and Raising Cane's see almost unlimited growth opportunities as they're squeezing sometimes 3X the typical volume of a chain hamburger restaurant out of each location. It's also why the hamburger places see the necessity of adding chicken options to survive.

Where Chick-fil-a and Raising Cane's are smart is their strategy of locating near "better" and higher volume burger places. They're stuck like glue to In-N-Out in California for example. They know they are better off getting the nod from a family who can't make a decision in the car if they're next to the busiest burger places versus the dying breeds like Burger King, Jack, and Carl's Jr.
