Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
Pricing at Rite Aid is so screwed up. All of these should be the same price. There seems to be major confusion what price zone a given store is intended to be in. Saw this on multiple categories.
Still largely a better deal than Safeway who wants 7.79 regular and 6.99 sale for all varieties.

This post on Craigslist is HIGHLY concerning.
https://humboldt.craigslist.org/lab/d/e ... 84151.html
There is no common retailer in Alturas or Burney other than...
This post is also HIGHLY concerning:
https://susanville.craigslist.org/lab/d ... 42127.html
There is no common retailer in Magalia, Palo Cedro, or Olivehurst other than...
Particularly this TEXT from that post:
"OUTSIDE of the SUSANVILLE AREA??!! We also have the same promotions running at 375 + locations all over California including the rest of the Bay Area, Sacramento, up through Northern California, Central Valley, LA, all the way down to San Diego. Even smaller towns in Eastern California."
Also don't go to the front page of Craigslist and go to jobs and type a search for "sign walker" ...... they- being whoever is making these posts on Craigslist- have been posting posts for this since January 29.
The difference between the January 29 posts and the current crop of February posts is the current crop of posts have an actual start date... of March 20.............

Also don't go look at Craigslist and search jobs for "sign walker" in OR/WA/ID either...
I don't know why these clowns think they need a sign walker in Alturas, CA anyway but whatever... whatever...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
On the bright (???) side I just went and tried to search for "sign walkers" in PA, MD, NY, MI jobs on Craigslist and do not see any such postings...
I have not checked the bankruptcy docket for monthly operating reports since that first one I summarized where I noted how certain Rite Aid Subsidiaries (states operating in) were profitable during the first month of bankruptcy and others lost a LOT of money. But I recall the Thrifty Payless subsidiary posted really large losses in that initial bankruptcy monthly operating report out in the docket. Maybe even after all these closures it still just isn't working out for the Thrifty Payless subsidiary. I guess we will just see what happens.

Would be enough stores for a spin-off “Thrifty-Payless” chain…if someone was interested.storewanderer wrote: ↑February 20th, 2024, 1:15 am Current store counts-2/20:

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
i wonder if rite aid may try to dump off the remaining west coast locations off to CVS and close the overlaps. those sign walker ads are a big red flag and if the rite aids near downtown fresno and tower closes, it is going to create a pharmacy desert around the poorest parts of fresno if rite aid ends up closing over divesting.

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
thrifty ice cream would be wise to become a standalone brand at this point, the best buyer for thrifty ice cream would probably be albertsons and would be a great partner to expand thrifty ice cream into new markets.
