The goal of the merger is to get bigger, so they want to keep the number of divested stores to a minimum.

Can we repost this sentence in like one hundred point type? I am not sure why this is so hard to understand. Some really wacky proposals that keep getting floated here, my favorites usually add up to $25B plus spent to buy Albertsons and the chain has less stores once the merger is done.
