Retail Watchers

I'm curious as to whether any of the regulars here have been to Giant Eagle Market District, the "upscale" version of Giant Eagle. The stores are huge (78k to 150k square feet, large by any measure), and can feature top-notch departments found at better supermarkets (cooking schools, full bars, pizza shops, etc.). Yelp reviews seem to be pretty positive with lots of comparisons to Wegmans, but is it "all that", or just an overhyped, overpriced knockoff?

I've been to the Giant Eagle Market District location on Third Avenue in Columbus, Ohio twice in the last 15 months. It's pretty impressive. They have a bar and a HUGE craft beer section. Prices don't seem too out of line, and they have a full selection of "regular" supermarket items as well. Since I've never been to Wegmans, I can't compare the two.
