Torrance Ralphs... Has anyone seen this "Local" decor package before?

Post by submariner »

It seems familiar, but I don't know if I've seen it before. The store is pretty average size, and nothing special like a Fresh Fare or Marketplace type store at all. This is right next to Target (Formerly both FedMart and Two Guys, complete with a former Auto Center still in the out lot).

Some of the colors don't go together too well and it looks so cheap on the walls... if they could just spend a bit more money and make the walls not look so cheap. I don't know. Maybe some backlit signs, some thicker wall letters... I think it is a really good start but needs some work.

First time I've seen this.

Definitely not what I'd call an upscale looking decor, though...

In this wide open airy store with the exposed/high ceiling it looks good. I am not so sure how it would look in a store with drop ceilings, either...

I've never seen that interior design before, either. Did it look like the store was remodeled recently?

Looks like a cheaper version of the new design Raleys / Bel Air / Nob Hill has been installing in their store.

I'd say so, it looked very fresh, and the floors looked very new.

I like it. There's a Ralphs in Glendale with a similar theme. Next time I am up there I will snap a few pics.

I've posted about this...and this particular location. Pastel colors and the orange. I hate them. They finished the remodel just before Easter. The first remodel I saw like this was the Venice (Los Angeles) store location. Each location is a little different with very local flavoring.

They kept almost everything in the same exact place at this store. They put in all new freezer cases, refrigerated cases, upgraded the service meat, totally redid the bakery and service deli.

This store location use to have polished concrete floors. The umbrellas above the produce were added a few weeks ago.

I visit this store every week.

Redondo Beach, a former Zody's and much larger location, will get this look sometime over the summer.

This is the same decor in the 2 newly remodeled QFC stores in the Portland, Ore. area. [Bethany Village, West Hills, east Vancouver] I have photos somewhere, but y'all will have to wait because I don't have time to go upload them somewhere just yet.
Interesting, I thought it was a new set here, but no, elsewhere too.

The 3 in town (small) QFC's are still on their Fresh Fare layout, 2 without a Starbucks but instead making coffee, selling lotto tickets and servicing bakery from the same counter.

Was I the only one reminded of the Albertsons LLC décor?

It reminded me more of the Save Mart Lucky decor. Mostly due to questionably matching colors, the old photos of stores posted, and the cheap cheap look it has.

This doesn't remind me of the Albertsons LLC Decor. The LLC Decor is not this "busy" or "colorful" looking. The LLC decor also generally has uniform fonts throughout. This doesn't...
