Retro for Subway?

I have noticed the current ads for Subway are using the 80s non italicized Subway logo at the end-not the slanted logo. Are they going back to the old logo? Could the wallpaper with the 1900s newspapers be coming back?

Sort of, seems like instead of being surrounded in the black oval, it's the old logo's script in yellow and green.

I hope that wallpaper isn't coming back. And yes, there is a 'new' logo, but it really looks like the original.

Never mind the wallpaper...I just hope their excessive use of yellow on tables, chairs, flooring etc. inside their restaurants doesn't make a comeback.

There's a good representation on Logopedia. It appears the new logo includes a variation logo with a dual-colored "S" as well:
