There is a Circle K in Sacramento, CA on Rio Tierra that has been playing fairly loud classical music on its sidewalk for years, at least, at night. The first time I went (in the dark) I thought wow this is a pretty classy Circle K. Then after observing the condition of the store, the lack of cleanliness, and some of the other customers around, I realized this was a tough spot and was told by the cashier that the reason they played the music was to deter loitering but that "some of the bums love that music so I call the police to get them to leave but it keeps the kids from hanging around long."
