Really just a news story I fell into, a little like when MoneyGram disappeared for Western Union (Safeway’s money services partner).
Terribles is taking over.

Re: Albertsons changes slot operator in Southern NV
Safeway has used Terrible for its slots for years up in Reno area. Not sure who Vons used. Safeway and Kroger have slots in 100% of Nevada Stores as I recall. Maybe Wendover Smiths has no slots. Even Lovelock Safeway has 1 or 2 unattended Terrible slots.
Save Mart only had slots in some stores but may have added them back into some that removed them, and their slots are usually unattended slots, not sure who runs those but it isn't Terrible and they hardly get any play. They had a lot more play when the stores were Albertsons and the areas were staffed. Raleys only has slots in some stores. Not a slot to be found at Wal Mart, Walgreens, or Target, ever. Kmart and Shopko had slots. CVS removed the last of their Nevada slots this year.
Store slots are a bit of a dying thing due to the smoking ban, but some stores do still make quite a bit of money on slots. In most cases in the shopping centers of most stores there is a bar type facility that sells low priced cigarettes and has smoking/slot machines often run by a company called Dotty's. These did not used to exist and took slot play that previously went to grocery store slot machines back before the smoking ban. Nevada Casinos continue to have no smoking ban and every time I go into one I am blown over by the odor and leave as fast as I can. Nevada Bars can only allow smoking if they do not "prepare" food there (so they can serve a hot dog and potato chips, salad, nachos out of a warmer, or they can have a kitchen in the next tenant space over and walk burgers/fried food etc. into the slot/smoking area in to go containers...).
