Greensboro Whole Foods closed due to asbestos exposure from Sears demolition

For several days now the Greensboro Whole Foods store has been closed for "safety reasons", causing much speculation about the cause of the closure on the Greensboro subreddit. It has now come out that the reason for the store's closure is that portions of the store appear to have been exposed to trace amounts of asbestos, presumably released as a result of demolition of the former Sears store that occupied the same building as the Whole Foods. It has not yet been determined just how much asbestos the store, its employees and the products in the store have been exposed to, but it seems likely that a significant amount of potentially contaminated product may need to be replaced.
