The Mayor of San Francisco is lobbying to get Prop 47 changed so that theft and drugs will be prosecuted again.

Maybe that will do something.

Getting that done will be tough. There will be a lot of noise. Recall the efforts it took to pass Prop 47 and the heavy support.

Easier to play childish games banning plastic bags. Easier to ban plastic bags. Nobody fights it.

It is not a recall effort. There's some big cash behind it, namely a number of retailers and the California prison guards union.
Expect it to be on the Nov. 2024 ballot because they've hired some of the best signature gatherers in California. Paying some good money to collect them. It will pass with big support even with who ($$$) is lining up against it.

I hope you're right that it passes. More unions getting behind it would help. Like the police unions. Where are they?

I wasn't referring to a recall in my post. I just used the term "recall" instead of "remember" or some other similar phrase.
