The San Francisco Bay Area Arby's were all unremodeled. I went to an Arby's in San Leandro, California around 2015. It was vintage 70s style inside and falling apart. I don't know how, but the ancient cash register was accepting credit cards.

I went to a vintage 80s style Arby's in Dublin, California and it was totally preserved like it was 1986. I was shocked when I heard that it had closed. It was like traveling back in time. The food was decent and somehow the restaurant was in mint condition.

Reno had a vintage 80's Arbys or maybe 70's, ton of orange and brown everywhere, in mint condition; it closed in the mid 2000's. Sparks had a newer unit perhaps early 80's which closed around the same time and wasn't in as good of shape. Same franchisee. They also closed a unit in the Sands Casino in Reno which was full of pinks and whites (looked early 90's), and two mid 90's build units (Fallon and Reno North McCarran/I-80 now a Popeyes).

The only unit that franchises Lunan Corp from Chicago kept open in the area was in Reno in Northtowne Lane also a mid 90's unit. That unit was untouched from the mid 90's and in mint condition inside until a full remodel was done during COVID. I am not sure if the remodel was done after Lunan sold to Diversified franchisee or right before.

Out at Fairfield-Cordelia exit there is one of those early 80's Arbys (was like the Sparks one) and it closed and turned into some independent knockoff Arbys for a while then that closed. Someone took it, remodeled it, and reopened it as an Arbys again.

But up in that area there used to be Arbys in Vallejo, Dixon, and Vacaville. Those all closed maybe around 2012. Maybe they were all the same operator. Those were all old 80's units, not updated in any way.
